Vincent Yang, 21, is currently a Graduate Certificate candidate at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music under the tutelage of Dr. Stewart Gordon.
Vincent has won numerous prizes in national and international piano competitions including the Glendale Piano Competition, Musical Merit Foundation of Greater San Diego (four time winner), First prize at the Los Angeles Liszt International Piano Competition, Young Musicians Foundation Lieber-Stoller Award and prizes from the Canadian Music Competition. Vincent is also a laureate of the International Keyboard Institute and Festival as well as the California International Young Artists Competition.
In addition to solo piano repertory, Vincent is constantly expanding his collaborative and chamber repertoire.
In his free time, Vincent enjoys teaching children and using his talents to give back to the next generation. He is also an avid volleyball player both indoor and beach.
Vincent has worked extensively with Dr. Stewart Gordon and Kevin Fitz-Gerald. He has also received lessons from Earl Wild, Menahem Pressler as well as John Perry.
